How can we help?
General
trouvé is a location-based app where you find drops (rewards hidden at real-world spots) on a map. Go to the location, tap the drop, and claim to earn rewards—either Zapp (in-app currency) or cash. You can also claim a daily reward once per day from the map (no location required), chat with others in your area, and spend Zapp on profile customizations and sweepstakes.
A drop is a reward (or set of rewards) at one real-world location. Drops show up as markers on the map. Each has a title, sometimes a description, and a reward type and amount (Zapp or cash). When you're close enough to the location, you can tap the marker and try to claim it.
The daily reward is a once-per-day Zapp reward you claim from the Map tab—no need to go to a physical drop. When you haven't claimed yet today, you'll see a button to claim your daily. Tap it, open the chest in the modal, and you'll get a random amount of Zapp. It resets once per day (based on the server's date).
Only if you have drop creator access. That's a special role; not every account has it. If you do, you'll see a My drops tab where you can create, fund, activate, and manage your own drops. Otherwise you only see Map, Chat, Feed, Loot, Leaderboard, and Account.
The Leaderboard tab shows users ranked by lifetime earnings—either in Zapp or in USD (cash). You can switch between the two views. It's a way to see how you compare to others and who's claimed the most.
No. The map shows your location and the drops (reward locations). It does not show other users' locations or live activity. You're not tracked on the map for others to see.
The Feed tab shows activity on the app: announcements, big claims, nearby drops, and a live feed of claims. You can see what's happening in your area or globally and get a sense of what's available to claim.
Loot is where you spend Zapp. You can buy profile customizations (titles, badges, banners, colors) and enter sweepstakes. Your current Zapp balance is shown at the top. Some items may be locked until you reach a certain level or until community progress unlocks them.
Using the app and claiming drops (including the daily reward) is free. You earn Zapp and optionally cash by playing. You may need to connect Stripe to receive cash payouts. In-app purchases or premium features may exist depending on the current product—check the app or store listing for the latest.
For account, payouts, or technical issues, use the contact or support option provided in the app (e.g. in settings or error messages). Gift card redemption and some flows may direct you to "contact support" when something goes wrong.
Zapp & Cash
Zapp is trouvé's in-app currency. It has no real-world cash value by itself. You earn Zapp by claiming drops and by claiming your daily reward. You spend Zapp in the Loot tab on things like profile titles, badges, banners, and colors, and on sweepstakes entries. In some areas you may be able to redeem Zapp for gift cards (e.g. Amazon)—check the Account screen for redemption options.
Zapp – In-app currency. You earn it from drops and the daily reward, and spend it in Loot (customization, sweepstakes) or redeem it for gift cards where available. Cash (USD) – Real money. Some drops pay out in cash. To receive cash payouts you must connect a Stripe account in the Account screen (☰ menu → Edit Stripe Account). Until then, cash-claiming may be disabled or limited.
Claims
1. Open the Map tab and find a drop marker. 2. Go to the drop's real-world location (the app checks that you're close enough). 3. Tap the marker to open the drop details. 4. Tap Claim and complete the claim attempt. If the system accepts it, you get the reward (Zapp or cash). Each drop can generally only be claimed once by one user.
Yes. For map drops, you need to be at (or very near) the drop's location. The app validates your position when you try to claim. You cannot claim a drop from far away.
Common reasons: Not close enough – You must be at the drop's location to claim. Already claimed – That drop may have been claimed by you or someone else. Eligibility – Your account might not meet requirements (e.g. cash claiming might require a connected Stripe account or email verification). Cheating / invalid attempt – The server can reject attempts that look invalid (e.g. spoofed location). If you see an error message, read it; it often explains the reason. For persistent issues, contact support.
Account
On the Account tab, tap your profile picture to change it, or tap the edit control next to your username to change your display name. Username changes may be validated (e.g. uniqueness, reserved words).
Tap the ☰ (hamburger) menu in the top-right of the Account tab. From there you can Logout or Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and includes a confirmation step (e.g. typing "DELETE"). Use it only when you really want to remove your account and data.
